Hello Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. Around here, we had a good balance of work, play, and rejuvenation, so I’m ready for another week to begin! Let’s get to it!

With the little ottoman/foot stool I made for this room revealed over at ForRent.com’s blog, I can (finally) zoom back and show you how this little corner of Henry’s Big Boy Room came together! It really is so exhilarating when all the projects and bits and pieces bought/made over time come together and look even better than you hoped! Even though I started with a Mood Board, each project was done in tandem, and I wasn’t exactly sure how it would all turn out. Well, pretty great I’d say! This view from the door is easily one of my favorite’s in the house!

In recent weeks, I’ve shown you the tutorials for the Roman Shades, the Color Block Credenza, the Rocking Chair, and the Ottoman/foot stool. I also had the striped walls painted bright white and added some whimsical pillows to the space!

One of the last steps for pulling this corner together was adding some artwork. You might recall that I am loosely nodding to a jungle theme in here. When looking for art, I wanted something jungle-animal-related, but not too juvenile (i.e., nursery prints) and not too mature (i.e., safari/African landscapes). After quite a bit of searching on Etsy and Pinterest, I finally stumbled upon these prints from Zeppi Prints. I loved that they were simple yet mature enough for a kid, and artsy enough to stand on their own. Even though I could get them in any color combo I wanted, I went for classic black and white. I re-painted four of these frames (yet again!) with white frames and white mats so that the pictures really stood out. Hung together as a mini gallery arrangement was the perfect addition to this corner!

With a bit more styling and accessorizing, this little corner of Henry’s bedroom was finally complete…although, at times I feel like there should be something on the wall to the right of the window behind the lamp! For now, I’m going to call it done…if I find something to go there, great! If not, no problem because it feels complete enough.

As I talked about in my 2 Year Recap post, this room has turned out to be one of my all-time favorites, both in this house and ever! I am learning more and more about what I like in a space…and for me, all white walls with light and bright furniture pieces that pop is really winning me over time and time again. With this corner pulled together, I proclaim Henry’s Big Boy Bedroom makeover complete. Coming up in the next few weeks, I’ll do a full room reveal, including all the before pics and a source list!

Have a great start to your week. I’ll be back Wednesday with a long-awaited update in the Living Room of all things – gasp! See you then 🙂

See You Soon!
